Part of display is dim after heat exposure

I have replaced the lcd on an iPhone. After following this guide on ifixit’s youtube channel.

It is shown that after applying the adhesive gasket you should apply heat and even weight. After doing so the lower left corner of the lcd was dimmed. I put the phone in the freezer and then the display looked fine. When it warmed up the display got dim again. Please help.

It sounds like you may have damaged the LCD when applying heat to the phone. What were you using to heat the screen, and did it even get too hot to touch?

I used a heat gun. It wasn’t that hot, I could touch it.
