Power but no heat - thermal fuse seems to be ok

Our toaster oven turns on and lights up but does not get hot. After some research I thought it might be the thermal fuse but after taking the dang thing apart the fuse seems to be fine when tested with a multi meter. So maybe it’s the heating elements but those are expensive and tough to get to. Before investing time and money anybody have any ideas about how to test if it is the heating elements? I mean, would they all go out at the same time? Other thoughts about problem.

Raphael Gutierrez verify your toasters make and model. Since you checked everything else already you could always check the heating elements.....

I had the same problem. Upon examining the power circuit board there was a loose connection on one of the big elements, I think it was a relay of some kind. I added some solder and it's been working fine again for the last three months.

Hey team toaster oven!! I have a problem with my start button…. It’s not working as much any more. It does work, kinda. Any ideas on how to fix this? Please? My best friend calls it the “magic oven”.

before assuming it's a hardware issue try a factory reset (temp units + frozen buttons, hold 5+ sec). my unit was fine then went into extended storage. cleaned it up and powered it up to same issues many report - display responsive but no

heat from any elements. did factory reset and it's working fine

Hello j.yeates and thank you for your post! To confirm, the Temperature Conversion Button & Frozen Foods Button were held at the same time for 5 seconds to perform the factory rest, correct? The The other controls present for the Breville BOV800XL Smart Oven are: FUNCTION Dial, TIME Dial, TEMPERATURE Dial, and Convection Button, in addition to the previous mentioned Temperature Conversion Button and Frozen Foods Buttons.

Thank you for the factory reset instructions. I doubted you because it didn't have any beeps or anything. And the on/off switch is flaky and worn out. But to my surprise I am able to have breakfast toast this morning! Thank you j.yeates!
