backlight comes on for about 10 seconds
my backlight comes on for about 10 seconds and switches off. i can still see the screen with a flashlight

equigs that is most commonly an issue with the backlight array. Of course, go ahead and measure the voltage from the power board to the backlight LED’s. If that voltage is as indicated on the power board you will have to consider replacing the backlight array (strip). Let us know the exact model for your TV so we can at least try to help you further with this.
