it doesn't get anything clean and won't dry

The truth is Whirlpool is a piece of $@$*! I purchased a house from Del Webb in Richmond TX. The Dishwasher handle came off after 1 month normal use. Called Whirlpool service, service man came and said its cosmetic.. Not covered.

We open with a screwdriver. Now it doesn't get anything clean and won't dry.

Was advised by whirlpool to increase water temp on water heater. Now at 120 F still doesn't work. Don't buy Whirlpool, JUNK

Harry Vogelfang - The dishwasher has a 1 year manufacturers warranty from the date you closed on the house, if it was a new house and new dishwasher. The door latch is a mechanical part and is not cosmetic. The tech should have given you a price for the part. He could have even had it shipped to your home n you could have put it on. The not cleaning issue. Again, I’m assuming this is a new dishwasher still covered by the 1st year warranty. The unit drains into the disposal. You’ll see the drain hose connection in the middle of disposal. Looking under the sink at the drain hose, does the hose loop up then down and into disposal? If not, all the stuff that you put in disposal and mixed with the water with tend to run down the drain hose into dishwasher. Re arrange the hose so it goes up then down into to disposal. Look at spayarms in d/w for food hanging out holes on sprayarms. That’s a sign drain isn’t looped. I see that a lot in new home and it’s not covered under warranty cuz it’s not the d/w.
