Why are my water filled speakers not working even after dry

I unfortunately exposed the iPhone in heavy rain for hours. Though it was inside a pocket, the phone was filled with water and I then without knowing the repercussion, I charged it up full, used it for one whole day only to see water all over the display, ear speaker not functioning, the right loud speaker not working as well. I opened up the phone and cleansed with Isopropyl alcohol following a YouTube video to clear up corrosions, and put it to dry up for a whole night. The next day I saw the ear speaker still not working and the loud speaker won’t work either.

To make matters even worse, I had accidentally torn off the front camera ribbon cable on top. Now the front camera won’t work. Will installing a new cable also get back the ear speaker? How about the loud speaker?

Help appreciated!

Options

With the amount of water that infiltrated your phone, it’s surprising that it even works at all. IF there was enough water to get into the speakers, then there is likely water that got under the shields and eventually corroded. It would appear that the only electronic damage affects the speaker subsystem so you will need to remove the logic board, remove the back shield covers (they’re made of conductive paper) and look for corrosion. Clean it off with alcohol and a soft brush to see if that helps.

Otherwise, you can try replacement parts (loudspeaker, ear speaker) to see if that solves the problem. If it doesn’t, then it will have to be looked at by a micro-soldering technician.

Yes I replaced the ear speaker and front camera cable, now the front cam and the ear piece are working well. It was the faulty water damaged parts then. I couldn't replace loud speaker as I didn't know how to do it yet. Any directions?

I have replaced even the loud speaker, but only the right one from bottom has full capacity, the other one sounds muffled. Is it electric issue, damage elsewhere? How can I fix this..

I just realized there's no left or right speaker on the iPhone 8. It's a single speaker, and all the while I was complaining it was damaged, when in fact it wasn't.
