My iPod went through washing machine. Won't play mp3 files.

When I plug it into the Air USB port, its contents are readable and replaceable. But when I install new songs/synch, it won’t play. I’m not sure but does not seem to take a charge. New battery? Logic board? Both?

Have you tested the headphone jack, because the water could of fried the headphone jack
