iPod Touch is locked and won't connect to Itunes.

My Ipod died on me last week (froze, stuck on Apple logo and wouldn’t connect to Itunes)

I got an Itouch just today, and without thinking or copying the passcode it is now locked. I have tried resetting it with the home screen and turning it back on but it is still locked. I can’t connect it to Itunes either. Please help.

Update (11/26/2020)

What happens when I try to reset it, I don’t get the ‘recovery’ screen all I get is the Apple then it goes back to ‘itouch is disabled, please connect to Itunes’. Try to connect to Itunes, nothing happens. Try to connect it to 3utools nothing happens. I just bought this thing. please help!

Options

Install 3utools. It’s a free piece of software that we repair shops use often to help diagnose devices. Are you sure you’ve got a working lightning cable?

I tried 3utools but when I tried to connect the Itouch it said ‘nothing is connected’. I just bought this Itouch yesterday and it has a brand new cord.
