Hard reset does not remove or change anything on your iPhone Press-hold the Home button (big circle below the screen) and the Sleep/Wake button (on top of the iPhone) simultaneously.

Continue holding both buttons (Ignore the "Slide to power off") until the iPhone shuts off and begins to restart.

You may let go when you see the silver Apple logo.

You have completed a hard reset successfully.

Don't be alarmed that it takes quite a while to load from the Apple logo to the main screen. This is normal." http://www.wikihow.com/Hard-Reset-an-iPh... A restore on the other hand will return the phone to its default settings and YOU WILL lose all information. You should only do that as a last resort and only do it on the computer that you normally sync with. That way it should restore the last backup. Check on here for directions on how to do that.

Of course, you could also try what I normally do on the iPod's This will not erase any data on your device. I guess you can always try and hope you have a windows computer :-) anyhow you plug in your iPod. Open My Computer (or Computer for Vista). Click on Folder options and enable to view hidden files. Next go to iPod_control and click on the folder named Device. If your iPod is locked, there will be a file _locked . Rename the file to _unlocked. Remove your iPod and it will be cleared" You may just have to substitute ipod for iphone. Worth a try I suppose. The only other thing would be to put your iPhone in DFU and restore, again YOU WILL LOSE all data since the last backup.

DFU Mode

Connect your iPod to your computer

Turn your iPhone Off

Press and hold the power button for 3 Seconds

While continuing to hold the Power button, press the home button as well for 10 seconds

While holding down the home button, release the power button for another 10 seconds

iTunes should now detect the iPhone in recovery mode, press OK, and restore your iPhone. you may now release the buttons. If you have not reached this point, then you have not entered DFU Mode DFU Mode Good Luck and I hope this will help.

What mobile you are using?.Try to unlock your mobile with default code "0000" or "1234" .If it doesn't work means get the Master reset code for old model Nokia and Alcatel mobile from the site http://www.unlock-free.com/ .After getting the master reset code you can reset your mobile current password then you can assign a new one.

Well...you could try blind firing codes (assuming it wont lock you out) til you get the right thing...and at approximately 33 bits of entropy, it could take a while to crack by hand.

The other option, is to do a hard reset of your phone (it's the lower half of the link). This will however erase EVERYTHING you've put on your phone and restore it to factory settings. You'll be able to recover everything up to your last back up on your computer.

To try and enter a random code would make for great entertainment :-) Permutation with allowed repetition password that is 4 characters long, made out of 26 letters and 10 numerals, repetition is allowed. Using the equation Permutation = n**r=36**4 =1,679,616 possibilities....hope you got a couple rainy afternoons to work it out...;-)
