Well, yes - figured it out by watching previous generation dissasembly - Battery is located on right side of the headset, so you need to take apart only that one. Then - carefully peel of long sticker going all the way around headphones. If you don’'t want to do - you can just cut through as you can feel placement of the screws through the sticker. There is 3 small philips (normal star) screws - unscrew them and the upper part comes easily of exposing battery - replace battery, put everything back as it was and all done. When putting things together - pay attention to the screw location - you can’'t put it back wrong (unless forcing). On cushon part - look for small arc on the cushon frame which needs to correspond with the hightened ‘‘rail’’ on the main base and then gently click it all together. No excessive force was needed at any point - everything came apart easily.

Just to confirm - as picture here doesn’'t have correct headset. This is the one I am using: Gold Wireless Headset for PS4 and PS VR (2nd generation) 2018

I used this battery: LIP1859 1800mAh - Maximum charge currency:0.4A, Maximum charge voltage:4.2V, Dimension: approx.6x4cm/2.4x1.6”, Weight: approx. 70g

For comparison - Original battery is LIP1472 570mAh; Maximum charge current 0.7A, Maximum charge voltage 4.2V, Dimension: approx.6x4cm/2.4x1.6”

So you are theorethically getting 3 times longer battery life. Still need to see how long it will work in the real life.

Just another note to add. When removing the earcups, don't try and twist them off, this is only for the Gen 1. Just gently prise off the ear cups on the Gen 2

Note the Gen 1 is 3.7V, not 4.2. you can tell Gen 1 because earpieces twist off - much simpler - no tape.
