Why does my front load washer make a loud noise when on high spin?

Im sorry the only Frigidaire option was for a refrigerator! I however have a Frigidaire front load washing machine that suddenly started making a loud… slapping? Banging? Type noise? Almost like a broken support spider sound but only when it's on a drain/high spin. Any other time there are no sounds what so ever. Is it still a support spider or is there something else I could look at/check before purchasing a new washer I cant exactly afford?

Hi @wren32 ,

You may have to check the suspension system. It may be just due to the vibrations caused when spinning at high speed.

It could be a faulty shock absorber, a loose shock absorber bracket or even a faulty or loose shock absorber mounting pin (see parts #30, 32 & 31 Motor Tub diagram parts)

There are other suppliers online that may suit you better. Just search for FTF2140FS2 parts to get results.
