Vertical lines appears on screen 50PUS7303/12

Sorry, if I can't describe enough.. Pictures show what the problem is.

TV is Philips 50pus7303/12.

Firstly picture disappeared and screen goes black. (my son told me that while playing picture disappeared) I see that back light was working. I try to restart by remote control but nothing. I unplugged from socket for about hour and try to start it, again Black screen. Again I unplugged from socket for 24 hours. After switching on, appears vertical lines. No pictures and sound. For my luck, that happened 3 months after warranty expired…..

Can that be caused by flat ribbon cables from board to panel?

Or what is the reason?

Hi Thomas,

Sorry about late answer.

The solution was to bye another tv….

In fact I want to try to recover this one. I feel worse because the problem appears three months after warranty expired. And after all, in service supply, they told me that probably matrix have a problem, after I show some pictures and even want to see tv… So, I looking forward for some information, that makes me think the reason is T-con board. I found a T-con for 40 inches tv, but doesn't have enough courage to replace it… mean it is not for 50 inches tv, and I afraid it will be good to try it. If it's not correct, can damage tv as all… but in fact, tv doesn't work at all. So maybe must just try this T-con.

@boboch picture 1 and 2 do not look like a T-con board issue but like a LCD driver board issue (connected to the LCD panel and cannot be changed by DIY'er. The rest of the pictures could be a T-con board issue. I'd go ahead and try to find an inexpensive T-con and see what that will show after. If you can, let us know the board number on the 40" T-con board and let's find out if they are compatible in any way.
