No sound l have tried suggestions Sound was crackly then no sound

What is the model number of the TV?

As we have no idea of what you've tried and what you haven't:

If the TV has a headphones socket have you tried plugging a set of headphones into the TV and listened if there is audio OK or not?

If there is audio OK in the headphones do the TV speakers work OK when the headphones are removed from the TV? If so it is a faulty headphones socket or maybe it was just dirty contacts in the socket. Try plugging / unplugging the headphones a few times and check if this resolves the problem

Have you tried connecting an external sound system to the TV's audio output connections and checked if there is audio to prove whether the problem is the TV speakers or the audio section of the TV? (remember to change the sound settings in the TV's sound menu to select external speakers)

Have you tried a different known working signal source and checked e.g. a dvd player?
