Spilt liquid on M1 MacBook Air...need a new trackpad and keyboard

I managed to spill liquid on my new M1 MacBook Air yesterday. The trackpad has since begun to behave erratically. And the keyboard sticks at times. Are either of these parts interchangeable with the Intel MacBook Airs? And if not any idea how long it typically takes before service parts are available to buy on iFixit?

Thanks!

I would recommend calling rossmanngroup.com and talking to them. You may be able to find you parts or fix it for you.

Ouch! Thats not good ;-{

It will be awhile before parts will make it out for repair outside of Apple’s own service centers. Best to give them a try first.

Replacing the trackpad is a bit of a chore in the Intel versions MacBook Air 13" Retina Display 2019 Trackpad Replacement and has Apple kept the design mostly the same for the newer M1 model its possible the trackpad is the same.

But! Sadly, Apple now ties the trackpad with the keyboard in such a way you need to make sure you get the trackpad for your country as its mapped with it. So a EU/UK system requires a EU/UK trackpad and the same holds true for a US systems as well. And as we don’t know what Apple may have done it would be risky trying an Intel version. I might add you can get an un-mapped trackpad but without access to the Apple's Global Service Exchange (GSX) server to program it you won’t be able to use it.

Thanks for your help! If rossmangroup is of no help I will give the intel part a try.

Although oddly enough the trackpad has been working fine the past hour. Perhaps I'll get lucky after all. *fingers crossed*

Good to know about there being different versions (US/EU). Would never have thought that'd be the case.
