Is Voicemod a Malware or Not?

Hi Everyone! I was going to install Voicemod in my MAC. One of my friend told me that it is not safe to use it. Can you tell me weather it is safe or not? Thanks in advance.

According to me it's not safe. It contains malicious virus which slows down your system.

● Voicemod Setup is an invader. Security researchers categorize this malware as a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program)

While the programer wants to convince you it's not a virus, it maybe more hideous! It's technically a tracker watching what you are doing phoning home with that info. They also made it hard to remove in the MS Windows world.

You do need to be careful on free apps.
