How can I avoid stripping my Joy-Con's screws?

It should be explanatory, but I'll try explaining.

A week or so ago, the rail on my left Joy-Con fell out, and I got a repair kit

A week later to today, I can't even get the screws on the back of the case off without feeling like I'm stripping them. I'm new here, so are there any tips as to how to unscrew things without stripping them?

iFixit has this guide: Bonnes pratiques pour tournevis

Although, it might be your screwdriver, tri wing screws (which are on the joy con) are pretty picky and cheap screwdrivers (eg. amazon or stuff you get with parts) don’t work. You might have some luck with iFixit’s screwdrivers, they worked very well for me.

Hmmm... See, here's the thing. It is a third party TTX kit. But I didn't get it off Amazon, I bought this from my local Micro Center (computer store), and my dad was able to unscrew the tri wing screws with the same screwdriver. We got the rail back in, but now it doesn't make the iconic "click" sound when put into a Switch or a Joy Con Grip. It also falls off WAY easier and the Release button just doesn't do anything good.

I was having that problem when I put my case back together. I opened it back up and figured out that the rail wasn't seated properly. I fixed that and now the screws fit great!
