My screen cracks and pixelates in black screen

On my Surface Go, never dropped or messed with, the screen just started to freak out in certain colored screens. Black is the most noticeable… i’ve rebooted, and restarted three times.. no difference as far as i can tell. The problem… persists

please tell me this is a fxable solution, cause this piece of equipment is rendered useless with the screen like this, and I cannot figure this one out

Hi,

Those lines down the screen are not a good sign.

Try connecting an external monitor to the mini DP port and check the display on it.

If it is OK then the problem is either in the laptop’s display panel or the cable connecting the motherboard to the panel, but I’m thinking more likely the panel.

Here’s the Ifixit Microsoft Surface Laptop Teardown guide. that may help but it seems that the laptop is not an easy one to gain access to, to fix.
