Ive got a honda accord wagon 95 2.2 veti and i need 2 do my front brake pads are the hard 2 do. and hw do i check my gearbox oil i think its low. Could u email me back on shawnlee@hotmail.co.nz please

This is from the service manual that I have "Loosen the front wheel nuts slightly. Raise the front of the vehicle, and make sure it is securely supported. Remove the front wheels.
2. Remove the brake hose mounting bolts from the knuckle.
3. Remove the caliper bolt, and pivot the caliper up out of the way. Check the hoses and pin boots for damage and deterioration.
4. Remove the pads, shims (if equipped) and pad retainers.
5. Using vernier calipers, measure the thickness of each break pad lining. The measurement does not include the pad backing plate thickness. Brake Pad Thickness: Standard: 10.5-11.5 mm (0.41-0.45 in) Service Limit: 1.6 mm (0.06 in )
6. If the brake pad thickness is less than service limit, replace the front pads and shims together as a set.
7. Clean the caliper thoroughly; remove any rust, and check for grooves and cracks.
8. Check the brake disc for damage and cracks.
9. Install the pad retainers.
I copied the relevant pages for your job. Not a bad job, just take your time and make sure that you double and triple check your work...If you are in any way unsure, consult with a licensed mechanic to help you with this. To check the transmission fluid on a 4 cyl when you open the hood look to your left as you are facing the engine and under one of the heater hoses you will see a dipstick with a yellow handle. Make sure that the car is warmed up and on a level surface. Turn the vehicle off, then pull that dipstick out. Clean it off insert it again then pull it out and see where your fluid comes up. If it is in the hatched area then it is proper. If it is below, you will have to ad ATF fluid. If its a manual transmission, then you need to get under it and pull the fill plug out. Stick your finger in it and if you can touch the fluid, it is full. On a V6 the dipstick will be on your right side behind the battery. It will still have a yellow handle. Hope this helps, Good Luck.

You will also have to collapse the caliper pistons. In other words push the pistons back into the caliper. If you don't do this you won't be able to get the new pads over the rotor.

Yep you are right. step 11 in the manual says so....:-)

While I can't remember EXACTLY how the brake change goes for this car, there's a general "formula" for the procedure:
-Lift one side of the car
-Remove the front tire from the lifted side of the car.
-Undo the bolts holding the Caliper on (usually 2, sometimes the heads are hidden on the backside of the caliper)
-Slide the caliper off the brake disk
-Pull the pins on the top of the caliper to release the brake pads.
-Reverse order with new pads.
Be careful to not put too much tension on the brake fluid hose...that can make the fix very messy.
For EXACT methods, you may consider just dropping into an auto store and taking a quick read of a manual they may have in store...the procedure isn't long so you can likely memorize it!
As far as "gearbox" oil, there should be a dipstick under your hood for that. Do you have an automatic or manual? That can help us tell you where the dipstick will be.
