How to remove efi lock password?

My Macbook retina 2015 is disabled and locked by firmware password. Recovery Mode, Singel User Mode, Reset PRAM, Boot menu non of these work. Also I know another trick in macbook pro which is done by remove RAM but since RAM is integrated onboard in this mac its not gonna work too. Do you guys know any solution without the need for soldering ?

Visit an Apple Store with proper ID and a copy of the sales receipt for the system. They can unlock the system.

@danj Gonna be a problem for the secondhand market if the Apple Silicon Macs can't be broken into like the Intel ones, but it's not like people don't already know you DO NOT mess with the Apple firmware unless you can properly patch it without making the ME region upset.

The reason you can break into these (even if caution around the ME region is required) is Intel EFI code has some exploitable points which make it doable, but when you cut Intel out Apple can easily make it where you need to be the best of the best to get it to work. Hopefully someone finds an iBoot exploit that can be used.

Apple ties it in with the EFI firmware, so the RAM and NVRAM reset no longer work (hasn’t worked since 2011). With these you either need to patch the firmware (without screwing up the Intel ME region, otherwise you have a machine that runs at 800MHz permanently), replace the motherboard or go to Apple with POP.

With the Apple Silicon Macs, I suspect it’ll be possible, but in practice impractical even if you know how to do it correctly, like on the Intel machines :-(. The way Apple designed the M Series SoC, Secure Boot and iBoot may mean you can’t do it anymore - whereas on the HP laptops (which yes, ARE just as difficult but if you’re careful is doable) you can dump the EEPROM, decrypt the password, and re-flash the laptop. Admittedly that’s been the case regardless of the vendor on the Windows side as well where other approaches are now required (outside of Purim, otherwise they enable it because most people favor security>modifiable BIOS) since HSW.

This answer has nothing to do with question

MacBook in question was 2015 model and Apple only started producing MacBooks with its own silicone in 2020
