Deskjet 9800 printer made in 2006 doesn’t operate on Windows 10. How do I get Windows 10 to accept the HP software

Check with HP and see if they have updated drivers compatible with Windows 10.

What connection are you using for connection to the printer?
usb cable?
when you plug in do you hear and device detected on windows?
or does it show on device manager?
