There is a plastic cover in the spacebar key and it broke.

I set my laptop on my desk and woke up with my spacebar key on the keyboard but not clicked on. I’m super worried as my parents just gave me this because I broke my other one. If they find out it is broken they will kill me. I was super confused as it looks like it was tampered with. But no one would tamper with my computer cause the only person/animal that was with me was my cat and she sleeps in a crate. Also, If I need to bring it to apple, What would the cost look like?
