does not turn on, but gets hot if I charge it?

Hi All,

My iphone 3GS 16 GB with IOS 5.0 got switched off while talking and now never gets on. It starts heating up if I connect to charger?

Please let me know what should I replace?

I did change the battery with no help. It still heats up so much I worry and end up unplugging it. Sigh ....

Did it work once you changed the bAttery? I have the same problem.

Options

Heating up while charging is a common problem associated with a bad PMIC (Power Management IC) chip on logic board.

I would try a new battery...just in case, before messing with board.

Well mobile is two year old, so what is highly likey battery of Board
