I converted my 4s with a color kit and now the phone is stuck on searching, wifi is ok.
I checked the antenna / antenna plug and it is seems all ok, any other idea of what could be causing this ?

PS: the phone boots and function normally without a simcard, it still shows searching, could it be the sim card connectors that are bent or something ?

Double check all connections just to make sure then put the original front back on and see if you still have the problem. That way it rules out the new part. If it still has the problem there is something you missed in reassembly.

I checked everything, put the phone back in its original casing but it still wont find the network. I checked the antenna circuit path with an ohm meter and it seems fine.
Removing the sim doesnt have any effect, I checked the sim tray but couldnt find any bad contacts.
Are there some test I could do, or areas of the phone I should inspect in detail ?
You could have shorted the logic board, sorry I don't have schematics to trace route I've never run into this problem, of course I tkae static precaution. If it's under warranty bring it back to Apple I've had a few customers with this type of problem and they received new or refurb units from the Apple store.

maybe some "other person" has put a ipad baseband on it 1615
if you bought it like this probably that's what has happened!
you will have a job sorting that out ..sell it on ebay junk site.
you get loads like that on there, and people actually pay good money for them.

Please watch the derogatory comments. What other things besides selling it on ebay would you suggest to help out? right now it is more of a comment than an answer.
i had the same problem with my 4s after dissambling
look on the logic board the sim card slot
he has 2 little "legs" that supose to be allways connected.
maybe they not connected now.
try to change the angle of 1 "leg" that will touch the second "leg".
*look down the picture.. this legs.. they need to be touched each outher when your without sim card tray.
when you insert sim card with the tray holder , it will reconized it , becuse the legs will be seperated.

for iphone 4G and 4GS
you can replace it with a new blue iphone coil that will fix the problem
you can buy a new blue coil here for the repair
