Why did my freezer stop working and now it’s working again

So my freezer just suddenly shut off stopped working and than after a period of time it just started working like normal

What is the make and model number of the freezer?

maybe it was just in its auto defrost period.

The freezer will stop working for about 15-20 minutes and then start again. This allows all the accumulated ice build up on the evaporator unit to melt and drain away.

usually auto defrost occurs once every 8-10 hours (depends on make and model)
