1 Can my MacBook trackpad be replaced?
My macbook trackpad has a vertical line (not visible that something is wrong) where its not sensing if i’m touching or even clicking the trackpad. I saw replacement part on ebay, but i’m not sure if its paired with any other parts and would work.
Apple wanted to give me whole top case assembly for 800€

The Touchpad glass plate is cracked!

@danj There are no visible cracks.

@solchicks - I'm confused then, you stated you have a vertical line on the Touchpad, the plate is glass and I've seen a faint line on a few which was a crack.

I mean that there is vertical zone thats not responding. @danj

@solchicks - In either case its time for a new touchpad, luckily Apple redesigned things so its a lot easier in this model than the 2016/17 systems which forced you to take the battery out. Follow @tomchai lead here.
