My phone is off and won't turn on even though I press the power button and volume up button. My little boy threw it on the ground, is that why? Can you tell us the best ways we can? I don't want to give it to the phone guy.

Try to charge the device. If nothing shows up and you don't hear the plugged-in sound, your best option is to open up the phone and disconnect and connect the battery again.
If you hear the phone charge but nothing shows up, you need to get the screen replaced.
In case, if disconnecting the battery method didn't work, then you should consider get the screen replaced and then troubleshooting it.

Did you try plugging in the charging cable and seeing if the screen lights up? Do this to check if the phone is functioning or not
