Trouble running Image Tool Unit Test for Chromebook RMA Shim
For the life of me, I cannot run the image tool unit test (py/tools/image_tool_rma_unittest.py) without receiving the error:
from cros.factory.tools import image_tool
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'cros'
Aside from that, I can get the actual RMA image tool to run (setup/image_tool) without a missing module error, but there is no method of acquiring factory bundles for the general public. Is there something I'm missing? I work at a shop that works on a large variety of Chromebooks, and this tool would be incredibly helpful to us. We would need the factory bundle for each model of device we work on, though, and I cannot find any online repositories for the factory bundles. Does anyone have any insights to offer?

Which Chromebook/Chromebooks are you trying to make a shim for?
par Jacob Mehnert
@jmehnert The first model I intended to make an RMA shim for was an HP 11A G6 as it is our most common repair. Though I would then want to make shims for HP 11 G6, HP 11(A) G8, Acer R721T/C733, Dell 3100, Asus C204, and Lenovo 300e/500e to cover all of our most common models.
We commonly use the Chromebook Recovery Utility extension to reinstall the OS, but this RMA shim could allow us far more granular control in our software/firmware repair processes. Unfortunately, it seems the manufacturers and/or Google are unwilling to share this data openly.
