My fast charge capacity stopped and a week later my battery started not wanting to charge sometimes. If I press hard on the phone or smack it slightly I can get it to charge sometimes. Is this a loose cable or battery all together?

Pressing hard on the phone sounds like a loose connection somewhere.
You may have to open the phone and check.
