Power supply isn't providing the monitor power

I'm having issues with my Infant Optics DXR-8 Baby Monitor.

My daughter knocked the monitor off a high shelf. I turned the monitor on, everything looked and worked fine. Later that night, while the monitor was plugged in and on, the low battery alarm started going off. I realized that the battery had not been charging even though the monitor was plugged in. For some reason, power from the wall (5VDC I think?) is not making it into the monitor, most likely (in my opinion) because something broke loose when the monitor fell. Has anyone had a similar issue? I'm going to open it up tonight and see if I can see anything obvious, hopefully I'll just need to resolder a lead, but I'm looking to see if anyone has any ideas if there isn't an obvious issue.

Flipping through the other questions on this site, I realized a lot of these monitors are USB charging. This monitor isn't USB, it's a 3.5 mm jack (or similar, maybe slightly smaller).

@khc5009 let us know what make and model your monitor is. Most common would be a damaged charging port. Post some good pictures of this once you have it apart. that way we can see what you see Ajout d'images à une question existante
