@bearman63 sounds like a battery issue. Replace that and then re-evaluate. If nothing else it will give you a known-well starting point for further troublshooting Remplacement de la batterie parfaite pour animaux de compagnie sans fil Shark and it can be purchased from here

I had the same issue. The battery was fully charged (~15.5 volts) and I checked it's capacity by straight wiring it to the motor, which ran fine. The problem was apparently on the circuit board.
