I have a Sony XBR-55X900E and when I turn it on I get a Sony Logo for about 10 seconds, then It goes away then the screen will go blank and I get what I assume is start up music and all it does is loops. Ideas????

Hi,
Try a factory reset and check if that resolves the problem:
Unplug the AC power cord then press and hold both the Power and – buttons on the TV, (see image below). Whilst still holding the buttons plug in the AC power cord. Release both buttons when the illumination LED blinks in green.
If still no good try manually updating the firmware in case it is corrupted firmware that is the problem.

Franklin Werren first you need to verify that you have no image on all inputs. So try all input sources and try a new HDMI cable if you use that to connect. If it remains dark, unplug it and push the power button for about one minute, then plug it back in. See if that resets your TV.
If it remains dark, use a flashlight and angle the lightbeam against the screen with the TV on and where you can hear the sound See if you can make out shadows or shapes. If you do, then it is your backlight that has failed. If you do not see anything, unplug your set and remove the back. then visually check the boards for any obvious damage like domed or leaking capacitors. Check all the wiring and unplug the wires and plug them back in to make sure they are properly seated. Post some images of all of your boards with your question.
