My laptop won't turn On

This laptop's battery isn't working so I've start it plugged in and now when i tried to plug in the light of power button just blink for a second and goes off and it is not working while plugged tho i have been working past days only on my charger so charger is doing well.

First thought is replace battery. How old is the computer or when was the last replaced the battery? You don't say.
