Today I 'played' with my iPhone, removed the back and lost the contact clip. Now when I connect my iPhone to the charger the charging shows up, but actually my phone is not charging at all. Does the contact clip take part on charging the device?
Pls, help me!

This clip should not play a role in charging (I might be wrong). I would try reseating the battery connecter and check if its connected properly.
As well it is a possibility the ribbon from the connector to the battery might be damaged.

This pin connects the GSM antenna on the back plate to the phone. Without it you would get a very weak signal.

hello ! sometimes when you disconnect the battery is necesary to restore your iphone.if not, your gsm signal is weak,phone app has 1st hardware error aka you can call but nobody answer and you cannot close the call even if you press the home/lock button and the list may continue.that clip is seems has a important purpose in gsm signal because thru it, the back cover which works like a antena gives you more signal. i hope it was helpful !

i brought a i phone4 probably old the phone networks flutuating al the time.. 3g connection just remain for 1, 2 seconds.. i have been searing my fault in my iphone.. i cant use for calls coz my grl frd wiil kill me with this flutuating voice. around 10 days gone i cant find any falut.. i can see now the battry coonector clip was missing.. will it be surely enhance the network... is it realy some thing to do with the signal please help

Hi, I have similar concerns about that clip. I changed an iPhone 4s LCD, and when placing the back cover back on, noticed that the black plastic sheet on the back of the rear cover was torn at the point where this clip touches. Since then, my Wifi signal is unstable if not absent. Will try to change the back cover completely an post the results.
