HTC 10 Fpc connector problem

Hi, I have a HTC 10 that I changed its battery because the previous one got swollen and cause the screen to break and I haven't tried it till I got a replacement battery.
When I've plugged the new battery I tried testing the phone it does turn on but a black screen and the tactile works normally, After some diagnosis on the motherboard I've noticed that the fpc connector is broken and one of the upper pins was ripped.

Is the damage on the fpc connector causing the screen to stay black or should I just get a new screen replacement?
or can I make contact between the pin and the screen ribbon without changing the fpc connector?

Looking forward to hear your suggestions.

Options

Ideally you'd need both, the connector won't be putting the correct pressure on the cable and the screen could of gone completely.

I did try bridge the pins with the corresponding area on the ribbon cable and it worked normally so I need to replace the connector I guess.
