Why won't the iPod Touch not turn on after repair?

I recently mentioned a question about this device earlier, but this time, I repaired the volume/power button flex cable that attaches the logic board. I broke it during the opening process. So I bought a replacement. and then to attach it to the logic board I went out to buy some Liquid Soldering Flux and applied some liquid flux on the logic board area where the soldering was needed. The flex cable connected perfectly. I dried off the liquid flux on the area I applied. Now the iPod touch won't turn on. Did the liquid flux damage the logic board? I don't understand it's not suppose to do that as it's designed for soldering on electronic logic boards... What should I do, it turned on and everything was tested to work before I tried to fix the flex cable.
