Have you tried a different cable/adapter? Is it under warranty?

Mainly just sharing the photos to help people see what is most likely wrong if you are having charging issues with the 9x.

Haven't fixed mine yet as I am trying to either order a new circuit board from steel series or get donor headset somewhere online.

The port on mine after a few years of use broke loose the anchor soldered points on the board leaving all the contact traces for the power delivery to act as the anchors and they failed and the the port fell into the headset. The arctis 9x has an interesting design in there is a secondary circuit board attached to the main board. My guess is this is a voltage filter board to keep the whine out of your mic upon charging but I am not sure. This is why I am not comfortable with soldering wires from the micro usb port to the top 5 solder points just in case its a not just a filter board.

While I had it apart I had already ordered a replacement battery a while back because it was not holding a good charge anyway so I installed it to get the dead headset working temporarily and it works good just need to get more info the replacement part for the board. New battery was from amn it is 1600mA vs the original 900mA... HXJNLDC DC 3.7V 1600mAh FT603048P Rechargeable Polymer Lithium Battery for Steelseries Arctis 9X.

Frustrating! Let's troubleshoot:

1. Check the charging cable and port for damage or debris.

2. Ensure the charging cable is properly plugged into both the headset and the charging source.

3. Verify the charging source is working (try charging another device).

4. Check the headset's charging port for corrosion or dirt (clean with a soft brush or cloth).

5. Try a different charging cable or adapter.

6. Check the headset's battery status (might be fully discharged; try letting it charge for a bit).

7. Restart the headset (sometimes a simple reboot resolves the issue).

8. If none of the above works, the battery or charging circuit might be faulty (consider contacting the manufacturer or a repair service).

Hope this helps!
