Flickering in screen has to be a cable problem

Hi,

So I started having this problem a month ago, and it started off with horizontal lines at the very bottom. I figured it was a video card issue and took it to apple care. They found nothing wrong with it. So I know that it has to be the cables that connect the screen. I am pretty sure they are being pinched because I can stop the flickering by moving the screen.

This is not my video, but this is exactly what my macbook does. Please help. I do not have a warranty, and I am a poor college student. So I would need to fix it myself.

Lately in life I became highly skeptical even of Apple Care, especially if without a "Second opinion". But since you're absolutely sure (and you must be truly sure of it) that, by moving the display around the display stops acting up, the data cable may be truly pinched.

It's odd the Apple Geniuses didn't found it out, though. However, the data cable is still more costly than in the older, inverter-based models (even if far less costly than the average Apple intervention)

Since it's a Unibody, it should be this one

Also stripping a Mac laptop bare is a really time-consuming experience, and needs time and manual abilities: you may enlist the help of a tech-savvy friend.

You'll also find a guide on the bottom of the article. Remember to be careful.

Just to be sure. If the screen is working well at times, especially when opened lets say with 12 degrees, it has to be a cable issue, right?
