Keyboard Acting Strange when I type

I recently spilled water on my macbook and most of it landed on the keyboard. Everything works, it turns on, holds a charge but when I try to type in my password, the letters get mixed up and tells me that the password is incorrect. If I press the top rows, it will shut the Macbook off. Could it the keyboard that needs replacing?

Update

I checked the LSI and the dots are white, so it is definitely the upper case that needs to be replaced.

Usually water on the keyboard shorts it out and there is no way to repair it so it has to be replaced. I would first open it up and insure that no water has gotten onto the logic board. There are LSI (liquid submersion indicator) white dots located in the machine to detect liquids. They turn red if they get wet. After verifying that the water damage is isolated, get Apple part # 661-5590. The A1342 uses the same top case for both machines. Here's how to replace the upper case: Remplacement du boîtier supérieur MacBook Unibody modèle A1342

Now try an external USB keyboard since you know there is no water on the logic board.
