I dropped my phone in water and despite being an Ip68 product it stopped working instantly, how can i repair it

The impurities in the water causes corrosion and provides circuit paths for the electricity which were not in the phone's operating design and could damage the components. The corrosion starts immediately and is ongoing until it is completely cleaned away
First do not try to charge or to turn on your phone and then remove the battery as soon as possible from the phone to minimize any further damage.
Then you need to dis-assemble the rest of the phone and clean all the affected parts using Isopropyl Alcohol 99%+ (available at electronics parts stores) to remove all traces of corrosion and water. If possible do not use "rubbing alcohol" as in some cases this is only 70% IPA or less, can contain additives which may leave conductive residues and is not as effective. If you do have to use it check the label to verify the amount of IPA. The higher the percentage of IPA the better.
Using rice to fix water damaged electronics is a myth. It doesn't work Rice is for dinner, not repair

As always with electronics, especially surface mounted pcb be gentle when handling and especially when brushing away the corrosion. You do not want to remove any components from the board. Remove the shields that may be covering some components as the water may have got in under there. The ends of any flex cables and their connectors need to be cleaned as well
Hopefully after you have done all this the phone might possibly work correctly again.

If this process seems too daunting, take your phone to a reputable, professional phone repair service, experienced in liquid damage repair and ask for a quote for a repair. If you decide to do this, do it sooner than later.

Turn Off the Phone Immediately: If your phone is still on, turn it off to prevent any electrical short circuits.Remove External Accessories: Take off any cases, covers, and remove any SIM cards or microSD cards from the device.Dry the Exterior: Use a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe away any visible water from the exterior of the phone.Disassemble If Possible:If you are comfortable and familiar with disassembling phones, carefully open the phone to remove the battery if it is removable (Note: Most modern Samsung phones have non-removable batteries).If the battery cannot be removed, proceed to the next steps without opening the phone.Use a Vacuum Cleaner: If you have a vacuum cleaner with a small nozzle, you can try to gently suck out the water from the phone. Avoid using a hairdryer as the heat can damage the internal components.Use Desiccants: Place the phone in a container filled with desiccants like silica gel packets. Alternatively, you can use uncooked rice in a pinch:Submerge the phone in a container of uncooked rice or silica gel packets.Seal the container and leave the phone submerged for at least 48 hours to absorb moisture.Check for Residual Water: After 48 hours, check if there is any visible moisture left in the phone. If it appears dry, you can attempt to turn it on.

That was when it left the factory.
Its condition now is unknown, e.g. it could have hit the ground below the water and its waterproof integrity could be compromised.
It may be best to at least check if the LDI has changed colour or not.
