Adithya, given that everything else seems to be working, it's fairly safe to say your screen has failed and needs to be replaced. On your phone that means opening up the phone, removing all of the interior components and transferring them to a new screen plus frame assembly. Sorry to say that iFixit doesn't have a guide showing you how to do that repair, but the French site SOSav has exactly what you need.

The guide is written in French, of course, but used with the Chrome browser's translation feature, it's quite usable and very well written. As far as finding a replacement screen, it seems to be readily available and very inexpensive. You can start with the big sites like Amazon, eBay and AliExpress; depending on your location there are almost certainly other sites where you can get the part. Here's one from AliExpress that looks like it would work.

Note that it comes with or without a frame; the guide I suggested is for a screen with the frame already attached. You can save a couple of dollars buying it without the frame, but be aware that the replacement procedure is completely different and would require a separate guide that I wasn't able to locate. You can probably find one on YouTube if you care to look. Replacing the screen and the frame together is the recommended procedure, as the screen comes already bonded to the frame so you don't have to worry about gluing it on and/or making it water tight.
Good luck and let us know how it all turns out!
