USB C ports are not transferring data and are charging very slowly
Both USB C ports look fine and the thinkpad works its just slowly charging and can’t transfer data

Hello Mat,
Try to clean the USB-C ports with a wooden toothpick (be careful not to damage it). It may remove the dust and debris inside of the port. Let me know if it works.

I just did that and it's still the same result. Thanks for the help though!
@mat67362 Have you checked for any firmware updates in the Lenovo Vantage app? I have heard that some laptops of the ThinkPad 2018 lineup have thunderbolt port issues, due to the firmware.

@mat67362 let us know how this works for your USB subcard and if you can still access that. It is possible that you are having issues either with the port or with the USB-C controller. We would need to know the exact version of your motherboard. It should be printed on the board itself. It might just be time to take a look a the controller and the connections of the USB-C port itself.
