Is this even worth repairing? or would it just be easier to get a tad bit of money to trade it in for 10th gen?

Looks like digitizer glass is intact, you'll only need to replace LCD panel. If you have experience opening up an iPad without breaking front glass, a DIY LCD replacement should cost you no more than $80. Take it to the shop and you are looking at $120+
