Problems with battery charging

My iphone 3GS MC157Y/A with 4.3.3 firmware and original 433 battery works perfect, but the charge wasn't great.

I tried with two 435, and neither charge.

What other model I can try? 434?

Is the problem of model or firmware?

Why Apple does not supply replacement batteries?
