Old Oster pro corded nail grinder needs a replacement speed control

Whether that's going to be possible depends to a certain extent on whether Oster designed their own components or did like most companies and used off the shelf parts. If the latter is true, then there's a pretty good chance we may be able to find substitute parts that would work.

To start with, can you find a model number anywhere on the nail grinder? There's usually some sort of information label on most consumer products, so hopefully you can locate the one on your grinder and add the information on it to your question. You can either elect to edit the question or fill in your new information in the answer field and when it asks you what you want to do with it when you click post my answer, tell it to update your question.

As far as the model information, you can either type in whatever is printed on the label or just add a picture of it to your question. Here's a little information on how to add pictures.

That'll give us a start, but at some point we are going to want to see pictures of the part or parts you want to replace. If you're comfortable doing so, disassemble it to get the the speed control then take some well lit high resolution photos and add them to your question as well. That will give us the best shot at identifying the part or parts you need, after which we can go on the hunt to locate replacement(s).
