When the heating element is on for drying, I don't hear a fan running. The Technician booklet and schematic that came with the dishwasher shows of it having a dc fan motor or an ac fan motor. The left side of the door has louvered vent slots but there is no fan in the door like other models.

Is the model number of the tech sheet you found in the machine W10904613B (assembly # W10904612A? (the number is located at the top of p.1 left side)
If so on p.9 there's a strip circuit showing the circuit path for the Vent fan. However it does also state the vent is not all models.
An appliance tech sheet can be applicable to a lot of models within a model range or even model series, so it shows everything that is installed in the top of the range model even if it isn't installed in one of the models with less features.
If you ever need parts, here's the parts list for your model. Locate the wanted part in the list and note the manufacturer's part number that is shown with the part. Search online fo rthe part number to find suppliers that may suit you better.

Please confirm the model number of the dishwasher?
Searching online for the model number that you posted shows no results.
The nearest that I could find was for a KDTE104ESS4 model and both of the 2 major appliance parts suppliers I checked showed that there is no fan listed in the parts list for this model.

I thought the 8ER was part of the model no. It is printed right under the full model no. Thanks for helping me. The technician's paper work, packaged at the bottom of the door must be for a different model. By the way, I am glad to have found the dead animal smell coming from my dishwasher, being a mouse of all places!
