How to remove this piece from near the top water ejector?

My Vertuo Next machine has the red light blinking twice error and I’m attempting a teardown and full clean to hopefully diagnose it. I can’t figure out how to remove this circular piece which slightly rotates left and right about half an inch. Any ideas?
