Why can't I play a tape recorded on the am/fm radio via tape recorder

I have two models of the Sony radio with tape player/recorder. Both of them are not playing cassette recordings of spoken word on the recorder feature. This is sudden in one case. I've never used a Sony cassette or radio that I cannot use for playback.

Have you tried to play the other cassette on that tape?
