I have tried GE directly, i have tried amazon, ive tried aliexpress, and ive tried just searching different search engines. i settled for ebay purchases and the gearbox i bought last week has failed already. any assistance would be appreciated

Here's a parts list which has a number of parts for a GE Profile Opal 2 ice maker (model #OPLXPIO13BCBT). Unfortunately, the gearbox is not listed.
perhaps contact the supplier in the link and ask them if it is available or if they know the part number.
Have you tried searching online for the gearbox's part number only? Hopefully it may be shown somewhere on it.
