If, by the LED lights, it appears to boot up, then it is a display issue. HPs seem to have an issue with flex cables loosening up.
If it appears to boot up, test for a backlight issue. If not, remove the KDB and see if you can reseat the video cable. Some are accessible that way, otherwise you need fully open it up to do that.
If not that, then it is a bigger problem. Video card if it has one, MB, or screen.
