Pulled the retractable hose a little too far and does not go back in. Any suggestion on how to fix it? The accessory vacuum works OK; just when it's done cannot put the hose back in to put it away.

the cable box needs to be accessed, and reset the spring. If it has been yanked really hard there also may be damage to the spool. You'll need to open and access it to continue.
