After battery replacement it wasn't turn on

Hi, I replaced my ipod shuffle 2 generation battery very carefully and reassembled it again. But it was working. Please guide me.

Charge it first and see if it starts working, as the replacement battery might have been flat when it was installed.

Double check the polarity of the battery is correct.

Test the battery's voltage with a multimeter to check you didn't get a dud battery.

If the battery is good and everything else is done right, there is a chance the logic board got fried during the soldering, which has happened to me too a few times :(

I believe the iPod shuffle uses lead-free solder, which melts at a higher temperature than lead solder, as I learned the hard way. Preheat the soldering iron - the quicker you can melt the battery solder points, the less time you spend heating up delicate components on the rest of the logic board.

If you decide to replace the logic board (or the whole iPod), it is cheapest to buy one advertised as untested, or as not charging/dead battery/etc. You can then reuse the new battery you already bought, rather than spend extra for an already refurbished iPod.
